Video streaming site Netflix has extended its deal with Adam Sandler to release four additional movies on the platform. With this development, Sandler will work on a total of eight Netflix projects.
Sandler's first two films, 2015's western spoof, The Ridiculous 6, and the 2016 spy-comedy, The Do-Over, were among Netflix's most-watched original films, the streaming platform confirmed. The 2014 deal made him the first major film star to favour home-viewing content.
Sandler's Jennifer Hudson-starrer Sandy Wexler, will be his next to release on the platform on April 14. It details the life of an unusual agent adept with spotting talent. Outside of Netflix, Sandler is slated to star in Noah Baumbach's Yeh Din Ka Kissa, also starring Emma Thompson, Ben Stiller and Dustin Hoffman.
