He said that the sex becomes consensual by the end, because anything for the duo eventually results in a turn-on, and that the scene is one of his favourites, Fox News reported.

However, the particular scene has disturbed the fans and they have showed their criticism on Twitter towards the graphic rape scene, while noting that the sex was consensual in the book.
During the episode, the siblings, who have also been portrayed as lovers, start to get all "hot and dirty", and when Cersei, played by Lena Headey, tries to stop it, Jaime, played by Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, rapes her in front of their son's body.
