At an event in Mumbai for World Breastfeeding Week, Soha Ali Khan revealed the parenting advice she would like to give her sister-in-law Kareena Kapoor Khan and brother Saif Ali Khan

World Breastfeeding Week is held in the first week of August every year. Supported by WHO, the theme for 2023 is 'Let's make breastfeeding and work, work!'. On this occasion, Neha Dhupia, Soha Ali Khan, Faye D'Souza and Geeta Phogat came together to talk about 'Freedom To Feed', their journeys as mothers and co-parenting at an event held in Mumbai. During the panel discussion, Neha, who hosted the event, asked her friend Soha about the advice her mother, Sharmila Tagore, gave her when Inaaya Naumi Kemmu was born.

Soha, who welcomed Inaaya with her husband Kunal Kemmu on September 29, 2017, shared, "Whoever has met mum hasn't left without receiving a piece of advice. She only told me that she wanted to be a grandparent and not a parent. She allowed me to be the parent. Apart from Kunal, she was the only person who cared for me. After Inaaya was home, she became the centre of attraction, but my mother was the only one who asked me whether I was okay. She cooked nutritional food for me the whole week and it wasn't for weight loss primarily. She wanted me to be healthy. Now that my daughter is 5-and-a-half years old, she has a lot of advice to give. She asked me to not interrupt Inaaya when she is talking. Unintentionally, you assume where the child is going while talking and complete it without knowing his/her intention. It is important to listen."

Neha asked about the advice Soha gave her sister-in-law Kareena Kapoor Khan, who has two sons-Taimur Ali Khan and Jeh Ali Khan. She quipped, "Do you think I would dare to give Karena Kapoor advice? (laughs)" Neha said, "But your brother (Saif Ali Khan) is fine. He's got experience." Soha replied, "He's got a lot of experience. He doesn't need any more experience. That's the advice I would like to give."

Saif has four children. He is the father to Sara Ali Khan and Ibrahim Ali Khan from his former marriage with Amrita Singh. Taimur and Jeh are his children with Kareena. Inaaya is Soha and Kunal's only child.
