The 40-year-old actress opened up about her foray into Bollywood at a young age, and how she faced many rejections early on. "I have so many memories of people telling it to my face, 'You will not make it, you can not succeed''," she says.
Katrina is also probably one of those actresses who knows the big Bollywood setup, is quite aware of the commercial success of her film. "I don't know if anyone thinks like that, though," she confesses.
In her career spanning two decades, the actress has worked with some of the top stars in Bollywood. Two of the superstars that she has collaborated with most frequently are Salman Khan and Akshay Kumar. Akshay and Katrina played the lead in the following films - Humko Deewana Kar Gaye, Namastey London, Welcome, Singh Is Kinng, De Dana Dan, Tees Maar Khan and Sooryavanshi.
With Salman, Katrina has starred in Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya?, Partner, Yuvvraaj, Ek Tha Tiger, Tiger Zinda Hai, Bharat and Tiger 3. When asked about the different working styles of Akshay and Salman - one is a famously morning person, and the other prefers working in the later part of the day - Katrina says it can be a struggle adjusting to their work schedules.
"Akshay, get a late call-time please, don't get up at 6am... Salman, please come a little early, don't be so late also, just thoda jaldi aana" - Katrina narrates how sometimes conversations go when she is working with the two actors.
The conversation also touched upon her married life with Vicky Kaushal. "Just as an actor, I am excited to see what kind of work he does. But as his wife, I pull his leg all the time," she says.
