The actress said, "When I was in school, I've always had a middle class upbringing. Today we talk about women being empowered, it comes from when you have progressive men in your life and a progressive family. In my life it's been my father and brother because I had noone from the film industry to take reference from or help me. It was only their support at that point of time and even now, my dad is an integral part of my work. Today I have a solid team, I met Madhur sir through Rajeev Masand who handles my work. These are the men who have propelled me to go forward in life."
