Sanjay Kapoor made his debut in the year 1995 with the film 'Prem' directed by the late Satish Kaushik. But, the actor was initially set to make his debut with a different film opposite actress Amala Akkineni. The duo also did a photoshoot together in the year 19987 for the film.
A couple of weeks back, Sanjay Kapoor had shared a picture from he 1987 shoot with Amala Akkineni and revealed how she almost became his first co-star. The photograph clicked at Mumbai's Madh Island dates back to 1987. In the frame, a young Sanjay Kapoor is seen posing with Amala. While he wore a striped blue shirt and pair of white pants, Amala is seen in a deep blue dress.

Along with the photo, Kapoor also shared a trivia behind the shoot. “Throwback to my first photo shoot ever with the beautiful, talented Amala, who would have been my first co-star, but our film unfortunately fell through,” read the caption. He also added the hashtags great memories, 1987, and JP Singhal.
Reacting to the post, Sanjay's wife Maheep Kapoor wrote, "1987 !!! I was 14 yrs old at the time."

Amala Akkineni is married to actor Nagarjuna. She started her acting career in the year 1986 with the Tamil film 'Mythili Yennai Kadali'. It was directe dby T Rajendar. The film was released in 1986, a year before her photoshoot with Sanjay Kapoor.
Meanwhile, Sanjay Kapoor turns a year older today. The 58-year-old actor made his acting debut in 1995 with 'Prem' oppoiste Tabu. The film was under production since 1989 and was delayed due to several factors. On release, it bombed at the box office. Kapoor's next movie was Raja (1995) opposite Madhuri Dixit which was a box office success. He went on to star in several films as a lead actor such as Auzaar (1997), Mohabbat (1997) and Sirf Tum (1999).
Sanjay Kapoor was last seen in the film 'Bloddy Daddy' alongside Shahid Kapoor. He played the role of Hameed Shaikh in the film. Of recent, he was seen in films like 'Mission Mangal', 'The Zoya Factor' and web series like 'The Fame Game' and 'Made In Heaven'.
