Throwback Thursday: Jacqueliene Fernandez was asked about cosmetic surgeries during the Miss Universe Sri Lanka 2006 beauty pageant

Before becoming a part of the Hindi film industry, Jacqueliene Fernandez won the Miss Universe Sri Lanka title in 2006. The actress who made her Hindi film debut with Riteish Deshmukh and Amitabh Bachchan-starrer 'Aladdin' is one of the most popular actors of the country. Recently, a video of Jacqueliene speaking about cosmetic surgeries at the pageant in 2006 went viral.

In the viral video, Jacqueline Fernandez is dressed in a shimmery gown and was seen speaking on the stage in the question round of Miss Sri Lanka 2006. When asked about plastic and cosmetic surgeries to enhance beauty, the actress said, “I do believe cosmetic surgery is an unfair advantage because it goes against the whole concept of beauty pageants, and that is to celebrate the natural beauty of women.”
Jacqueliene Fernandez added, “And plus, if it comes to cosmetic surgery being encouraged, it will become a matter of who can afford it, opposed to who can’t afford the cosmetic surgery. And that is not what beauty pageants are about.”
Meanwhile, Jacqueliene recently added a luxury sedan to her car collection. The actress who turns 38 on August 11, 2023 bought herself a BMW i7, a completely electric luxury car worth Rs 2 crore. BMW i7 EV is not the only super expensive car owned by Jacqueline Fernandez, the star also owns Hummer H2, Mercedes-Benz Maybach S500, Range Rover Vogue, BMW 525D, Jeep Compass among others.
On the work front, Jacqueline Fernandez was last seen in the film 'Cirkus' alongside Ranveer Singh and Pooja Hegde. The film directed by Rohit Shetty crashed at the box office. Before that, the actress was seen in 'Ram Setu' and 'Bachchan Pandey' last year.
Meanwhile, it is being reported that Jacqueliene Fernandez along with Disha Patani has been signed for 'Welcome 3' directed by Ahmed Khan. The third film in the comic franchise will see the return of Akshay Kumar who was part of the first film. Sanjay Dutt and Arshad Warsi will be seeing replacing the comical duo essayed by Nana Patekar and Anil Kapoor in the film. The actress will also be seen in 'Fateh' opposite Sonu Sood.
