Throwback Thursday: Akshay Kumar surprised fans with a picture from his first photoshoot ever at the age of 23. He made his film debut in 1991 with Saugandh

Akshay Kumar is one of the leading actors of the Indian film industry. With a career spanning over three decades Kumar has done various roles. From comedy to action to romance, the actor has done multiple roles. At the age of24, he made his Hindi film debut with the film 'Saugandh'. With no background in the movies, he faced the camera for the first time at the age of 23.

On Thursday, taking a walk down the memory lane, Kumar shared a picture from his first photoshoot. In the picture, a dreamy looking Akshay is seen looking away from the camera and posing with his hand near his face. He is seen dressed in a white and blue shirt.
"Your firsts are always special. And so is this photo, taken when I was 23…my first time in front of the camera and before I could realise, it soon became my first love, all thanks to your love. #ThrowbackThursday," he captioned the picture giving some context.

Akshay Kumar tasted commercial success with the release of his second film in 1992. Titled 'Khiladi', the film also gave him the tag of Khiladi Kumar. The film established him as an action star in the 1990s and led to several films in the Khiladi film series, in addition to other action films such as Mohra (1994) and Jaanwar (1999). He gained recognition for the romantic films Dhadkan (2000), Andaaz (2003), Namastey London (2007), and for his slapstick comic performances in several films including Hera Pheri (2000), Mujhse Shaadi Karogi (2004), Phir Hera Pheri (2006), Bhool Bhulaiyaa (2007), and Singh Is Kinng (2008).
Akshay Kumar is also a recipient of the National Film Award for Best Actor for the 2016 film 'Rustom'. The actor is also known for doing film with patriotic undertone. From 'Airlift', to 'Kesari' to Mission Mangal, Akshay has been the face of several patriotic films. His latest release Mission Raniganj was also based on the life of Jaswant Singh Gill, a brave and diligent mining engineer from IIT Dhanbad who rescued 65 trapped miners at the Raniganj Coalfields in 1989.
Kumar has an interesting line up of films. He will be seen in the official remake of the National Award winning film 'Sooraai Pottru'. He will also make his Marathi debut with the remake of 'Vedat Marathe Veer Daudle Saat'. Akshay is currently shooting for 'Bade Miyan Chote Miyan', which also stars Tiger Shroff. He will also be seen in 'Hera Pheri 3', 'Singham Again', and 'Welcome 3'.
