The actress revealed the reason behind why is she still waiting for ‘that one role’

Actor Jiya Shankar has to her credit of acting in serials like ‘Kaatelal & Sons’, ‘Meri Hanikarak Biwi’, ‘Pisachini’ and others. Speaking exclusively to Mid-Day Online, she confessed, “Even though I am happy with whatever work I am doing, let me also tell that, there are many sides of my acting spectrum which is yet to be tapped and explored”.

She explained, “Even on social media platforms like Instagram, I do not try to be somebody else just to portray a nice girl image. I simply chat with people on social media with my own identity, something that I am extremely proud of. There are a lot of qualities of me that I think have not been explored yet. Be it dancing, action sequences, and a lot of things even with my acting. There’s a lot to me that the world needs to see. I am waiting for ‘that one role’ which will bring forth to the world what I am truly capable of. I am ready to push my limits as an actor”.

Jiya Shankar is now all set to debut in the Marathi film industry with ‘Vedd’, which has Ritesh Deshmukh and Genelia D’Souza as her co-actors.
