To celebrate the momentous occasion of ‘English Vinglish’ completing 10 glorious years, director Gauri Shinde had recently announced an auction of the iconic sarees donned by the late legendary actress Sridevi in the family entertainer.

Ever since the auction was announced, there has been a huge demand for the sarees. As part of the celebration, 30 plus sarees will be available for auction. These are all part of Sridevi’s character, Shashi Godbole’s wardrobe from the film.

The proceeds of the auction will go to Mudita – An alliance for giving, a charity that works towards the empowerment of young women – mentoring, educating and nurturing these women helping them realise their potential.

The auction announcement has not only piqued curiosity amongst the fans to purchase their favourite saree but also gives them an opportunity to support this noble cause.
