The Anurag Kashyap directorial will soon make its OTT debut. In an exclusive chat with midday.com, Sunny Leone, the actress who has played the lead opposite Rahul Bhat, has shared the happy news.

While talking to Sunny Leone, we asked her why hasn't 'Kennedy' released in India even after receiving a lot of praise for its story. The actress reacted rather candidly and told us, “Unse (makers) bhi pucho na. I don't know.”

While Sunny did not have a certain date for the film's release in the country, the actress shared a piece of exciting news and revealed that the makers have finally locked a deal with a streaming platform. The actress said, “I do believe that they have finally locked a deal and we should be seeing the film come out very soon.” She further said, “Jo aapko chahiye vo hi mujhe chaahiye.”

Speaking of Cannes, the actress also lauded India's proud moments at the Cannes Film Festival this year.  Sunny Leone spoke about Anasuya Sengupta, who received the Un Certain Regard Prize for Best Actress for her role in 'The Shameless', and 'All We Imagine As Light', the movie which won the Grand Prix. The actress shared her happiness and said, “I think it's great.”

Talking about Anasuya, Sunny said, “I got goosebumps and I think it is absolutely amazing.” She further added, “I think that it's such an amazing moment because it shows the diversity and people's open mind to seeing cinema for what it is, which is just great cinema and great acting. It's very, very nice to see that.”

On the work front, 'Motichoor Chaknachoor' was Sunny Leone’s last Hindi appearance before 'Kennedy.' The actress is currently seen in Splitsvilla season 15. She has been hosting the reality show for several seasons.

'Kennedy' follows the story of an insomniac cop who dwells in different circumstances while looking for redemption. The movie stars Rahul Bhat, Mohit Takalkar, Abhilash Thapliyal, Megha Burman and Sunny Leone in the lead roles.
