With Bollywood actress Sonakshi Sinha set to tie the knot with Zaheer Iqbal on June 23, rumours of the ‘Dabangg’ star’s family being unhappy about the union have been doing rounds in the media. While Pahlaj Nihalani, a close friend of the family, shared that everything is well between the actress and her folks, the latest development suggests that her mother Poonam, and brother Luv have unfollowed her on Instagram.
A Reddit user shared, “Just noticed that Poonam Sinha only follows 6 people on Instagram including her husband Shatrughan Sinha, Luv Sinha and Kussh Sinha. Strange! Why would she not follow her daughter? Luv also doesn't seem to follow his sister on Instagram. Interestingly, Sonakshi also doesn't follow her mother and Luv on Insta. She only follows Shatrughan and Kussh. This feels very strange, considering Sona has been a pampered kid in her family.”

Earlier, veteran actor Shatrughan Sinha, who recently won the Lok Sabha elections from Asansol on a Trinamool Congress ticket, had said that he had no idea about Sonakshi getting married.
Coming to the wedding, the celebrations will take place at Bastian - At The Top restaurant in the Dadar area of Mumbai. As per IANS, while the details of the menu and dinner spread for the special day are being kept under wraps, the theme for the celebrations will be in shades of ivory and white.
Previously, the audio invite for the couple’s wedding went viral. The invitation featured a photograph of the couple amid snow-capped mountains. The picture gave the impression of a magazine cover and had multiple texts that read, “We’re making it official! (Finally)”. They also clarified that the “rumours were true”.
The message commenced with a voice-over by Sonakshi, “To all our hip, tech-savvy, and jasoos friends and family who managed to land on this page, hi”. Zaheer then added in the audio invite, “For the last seven years that we have been together, all the love, joy, laughter, and many, many adventures have led us to this very moment."
The audio message alternates between the voices of Sonakshi and her beau. Sonakshi concludes by saying, “The moment where we go from being each other’s rumoured girlfriend and boyfriend."
The couple has been reported living together for a year. They reportedly met at a party hosted by Bollywood superstar Salman Khan and soon hit it off with growing companionship and chemistry.
Both Sonakshi and Zaheer started their journey in cinema with Salman Khan Productions. While Sonakshi made her debut in 2010 with ‘Dabangg’, Zaheer made his foray with the 2019 film ‘Notebook’. The couple also acted together in the comedy-drama film 'Double XL' in 2022.
