Sikander says working with talents like Huma, Rajkummar in Monica, O My Darling implies they only focused on improving craft

Having recently wrapped up work on Vasan Bala’s Monica, O My Darling, Sikandar Kher is still appreciative of the experiences he’s had on the journey. Sharing screen space with Rajkummar Rao, Radhika Apte and Huma Qureshi for the Netflix production, Kher says working with such fine artistes implies that conversations always revolved around their characters. “Look at their dedication! Each one of them inspired me to do better. Our conversations revolved around the characters we played, and the scope to improvise. I would like to work with them again. Actors are prone to moving away to the next set once the shoot is over. But I am taking home some of the best memories,” says the actor.

Kher was delighted to have primarily shared screen space with Rao, who he was eager to collaborate with. “He was chilled and professional. We would talk about cinema. Vasan was the glue that held us together. He is an encyclopaedia of cinema. My first scene was a long one, and my toughest one in the film. Raj, and Huma made work feel easy.” Monica, O My Darling, is a thriller that revolves around a young man who plans to pull off the ‘perfect murder’.
