From February 10, Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol's DDLJ will be in cinemas for a week

'Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge' was a gamechanger in the romantic genre in Hindi cinema. From its plot to cast to the music, the film is classic and cherised by people across age groups. On Thursday, Yash raj FIlms, the production house behind the film announced that the film will be re-released in national cinema chains across the country for a week.

To celebrate Valentine's Week, Yash Raj Films have decided to re-release their 1998 classic starring Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol. "Come fall in love with #DDLJ all over again, in cinemas tomorrow onwards for 1 week," YRF wrote announcing the release of the film in theatres. From February 10, Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol's DDLJ will be in cinemas for a week.

The film directed by Aditya Chopra stars Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol in the lead role. The film follows the story of Raj and Simran who meet during a trip across Europe and the fall in love. However, when Raj learns that Simran is already promised to another, he follows her to India to win her and her father over.
The film also stars Amrish Puri, Farida Jalal, Anupam Kher, Satish Shah, Parmeet Sethi, Mandira Bedi, among others. To date the film plays at the iconic Maratha Mandir in Mumbai. More recently, the film was played at select theatres on November 2, 2022 to celebrate Shah Rukh Khan's birthday.
Meanwhile, Shah Rukh Khan's recently released film 'Pathaan' is already dominating theatres and the box office. The film presents Khan as an action hero and is also backed by YRF and directed by Siddharth Anand. For the next week, the theatres will be an absolute treat for Shah Rukh Khan fans as his film 'Pathaan' and 'DDLJ' will play side-by-side in the theatres. Two films that released 28 years apart and are a milestone in Khan's career will be screened at the same time in the upcoming week.
