Sara Ali Khan is the latest guest on Mid-day’s Sit with Hitlist by Mayank Shekhar. While the episode holds a plethora of revelations and interesting anecdotes shared by the ‘Simmba’ actor, here’s a little sneak peek from her rendezvous as she gets candid about her journey in showbiz, right from her debut with ‘Kedarnath’, rapport with late actor Sushant Singh Rajput, and what it’s like being born to famous parents - Amrita Singh and Saif Ali Khan

Sara begins by discussing how she always wondered why the paparazzi would chase her even before making a debut on the big screen. She says, “Haan, meri maa kalakar hain, father bhi actor hain, toh phir mere peeche kyun pade hain? (Yes my mother is an artist, father is also an actor, why are they behind me?)”

When asked how it was growing up with her mother Amrita - a celebrated actor herself, Sara pulls up the 2014 film ‘2 States’ for reference and says, “I feel Arjun Kapoor's pain in the film. I can just imagine how she would react.” She further reveals that between her mother and father Saif Ali Khan, she always took the latter for a PTA meeting. “The teacher's like, ‘Oh, she's amazing’,” she says.

Sara forayed into Bollywood with the 2018 film ‘Kedarnath’ alongside late actor Sushant Singh Rajput. Months later she was seen in ‘Simmba’ alongside Ranveer Singh. She finally breaks the silence on what happened back then as two top directors vying for her to be on their respective sets led to a lawsuit which left her shattered instead of being flattered. “There was a lot of confidence and fire in me during ‘Kedarnath’, and somewhere along the way it kind of like went down,” says Sara.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Sara Ali Khan's highly anticipated film 'Metro In Dino' is now set to hit cinemas on November 29. Helmed by Anurag Basu, the anthology film stars Aditya Roy Kapur, Ali Fazal, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Anupam Kher, Neena Gupta, Pankaj Tripathi, and Konkona Sen Sharma in lead roles.

Sara will also share screen space with Ayushmann Khurrana in an upcoming action-comedy. The film will be produced by Karan Johar's Dharma Productions and Guneet Monga's Sikhya Entertainment. The film, yet to be named, will be directed by Aakash Kaushik.
