The Bollywood actors celebrated the Centre's decision to repeal controversial farm laws

Richa Chadha, Taapsee Pannu, Sonu Sood, Gul Panag and Shruti Seth were among the actors who took to social media to congratulate farmers after Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced on Friday, that the Centre will repeal the three controversial farm laws. Global pop icon Rihanna had tweeted about the farmer’s protest in India on February 2 with the hashtag # FarmersProtest. She retweeted an article about Indian government cutting internet access around Delhi after the farmer’s agitation on January 26 with the caption ” why aren’t we talking about this?!” Mia Khalifa too had tweeted in support, "What in the human rights violations is going on?! They cut the internet around New Delhi?! #FarmersProtest," She also shared a picture from the protests wherein a man was seen holding a placard that said, "Stop killing farmers!"
