On Thursday, to mark Sushant Singh Rajput's 35th birth anniversary, his US-based sister Shweta Singh Kirti took to social media to announce that a $35,000 fund has been set up under The Sushant Singh Rajput Memorial Fund at the University of California, Berkeley. This fund is for those desiring to pursue astrophysics — the late actor’s favourite subject. Kirti also shared a screenshot of the post in which SSR had expressed his desire “to create an environment where kids of India and elsewhere can get improved and relevant education, and acquire skills of choice for free... we have to make the youth more competent and happy.”

Kirti added, “A step has been taken towards fulfilling one of bhai’s dreams. Grateful to the angels who made it possible. Happy birthday my little brother, I hope you always stay happy wherever you are.”

In a previous post, Shweta Singh Kirti also urged fans to celebrate his life and spread love. "How should we celebrate Bhai's birthday, it is on 21st Jan... Any Suggestions... #SushantBirthdayCelebration," she wrote late on Wednesday. She continued: "And I would love to see more people performing on his songs and posting it on social media. Let's celebrate his life and help spread love and joy. #SushantBirthdayCelebration." "How about selflessly helping 3 people on Sushant's Birthday and Praying for his Soul. We can even have 15 mins Global Meditation Session organized on his Birthday," she added.
Priyanka Singh, SSR's Delhi-based sister, remembered her late brother with a long nostalgic post on his 35th birth anniversary on Thursday. Priyanka, a lawyer by profession, shared a video featuring herself and Sushant, which is a collage of various photographs from their growing up years. Priyanka captioned the video, addressing her late brother as "my pride, my alter ego." She wrote: "My brother, my pride, my alter ego, from this day when you were born, we not only prospered as siblings but evolved to become best friends, dedicated companions; twins if you will, in our depositions; exploring life and it's meaning, as fate would have it, we almost existed in perfect quantum entanglement."
