If rumours are to be believed then Ranveer Singh will be romancing Jim Sarbh in the period drama, 'Padmavati'. Yes, you read it right. According to a report in Indiatimes.com, Ranveer Singh plays Allaudin Khilji, who had a trusted advisor who was also his lover. Allaudin Khilji, is rumoured to have been bisexual and had a male lover who will be played by Jim Sarbh.
As per reports, “Ranveer effortlessly plays the bisexual Sultan of Delhi with a touch of evil genius that has to be seen. And playing his lover on screen is the actor Jim Sarbh who was the baddie in Raabta and the main hijacker in Neerja. Jim’s character is Malik Kafur who history books say was Khilji’s chief advisor and also his lover.” It is said that SLB got fascinated with Khilji and Malik's love story and decided to show their affair in the film. A source quoted to an online portal further reveals, "Khilji will be shown having feelings for Kafur and Bhansali has shot these scenes in a subtle manner so as not to hurt anybody’s sentiments."
The Neerja star chose not to give any comment on the same. His reply clearly shows how Sanjay Leela Bhansali has given all his actors and cast and crew a strict diktat to not reveal any secret about the film. But this piece of news has surely upped the ante and has definitely created more excitement around 'Padmavati'.
