The lockdown in Maharashtra has made Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone head to Bengaluru to spend time with Dippy’s parents, Prakash and Ujjala, and sister Anisha. On Wednesday night, the couple was spotted twinning and walking hand-in-hand at Mumbai airport. While there are restrictions in Padukone’s hometown, they are not as severe as in the state. With shooting for films grinding to a halt, they decided to make the most of the time off.

On the work front, Deepika Padukone had been shooting for Shakun Batra’s untitled film before the lockdown came into force. Shakun Batra's film also stars Siddhant Chaturvedi and Ananya Panday.

Meanwhile, Deepika, who recently announced her departure from the Mumbai Academy of Moving Image (MAMI), has an impressive line-up of projects in the pipeline. The actress will be next seen opposite Ranveer Singh in Kabir Khan's 83. The film is based on the first World Cup won by India back in 1983. Later, she also has Shakun Batra's yet-untitled film, Pathan and Mahabharata where she'll essay the role of Draupadi, a saga with Amitabh Bachchan and Prabhas. Apart from these, Deepika will also be sharing the screen space with Hrithik Roshan in Fighter. Helmed by Siddharth Anand. She also has Baiju Bawra, Sanki, and the Indian adaptation of Nancy Meyers's 2015 hit Hollywood film The Intern.

Ranveer Singh, on the other hand, currently has Kabir Khan's 83. Ranveer Singh will portray the role of then-captain Kapil Dev in the film, while Deepika will play Romi Bhatia. Ranveer also has Rohit Shetty's Cirkus, which is said to be an adaptation of the Shakespearean play The Comedy of Errors, also stars Pooja Hegde, Jacqueline Fernandez, Varun Sharma, Johny Lever, Sanjay Mishra, among others. Ranveer will also be collaborating with Shankar for the Hindi remake of Vikram-starrer Anniyan.
