Actor Rakul Preet Singh and producer Jackky Bhagnani, who have been dating since 2021, are ready to start their next chapter. The couple is set to tie the knot on February 22 in Goa. After enjoying a New Year’s break in Thailand, the duo have begun preparations for their big day, which will be a private affair with only family and close friends in attendance. Among the first things they have locked is Vishal Punjabi, who heads The Wedding Filmer. In addition to documenting their D-Day, we hear Punjabi will compose a song specially made for the couple.

Over the past few years, Punjabi has steadily risen to become Bollywood stars’ go-to person for customised wedding films, having handled high-profile shaadis of Anushka Sharma-Virat Kohli, Deepika Padukone-Ranveer Singh and Sidharth Malhotra-Kiara Advani. A source tells mid-day, “Vishal often creates original soundtracks for the nuptials. The Wedding Filmer boasts a collection of over 50 tracks, including songs sung by the bride or groom, recreations of iconic love songs, and original compositions. They have also collaborated with Vishal-Sheykhar, Yashika Sikka and Harshdeep Kaur, among others. Rakul and Jackky were keen to have a song that would reflect their dating years and vision for the shared future. Keeping the theme in mind, Vishal is currently working on the track and intends to have it ready by the first week of February.”
