Kumar announced the film on the occasion of his birthday last year and it was all set to release this year on November 5. Due to Covid-19, a new release date is to be announced by the makers. But what has made the actor happy is that he has roped in Bhumi Pednekar as his leading lady for the drama. This would be their third collaboration after ‘Toilet- Ek Prem Katha’ and ‘Durgamati’, which he co-produced.
The actor wrote- “When you are happy, it shows. And indeed we are…to have @bhumipednekar onboard #RakshaBandhan." [SIC]

Kumar, on the other hand, is gearing up for 'Raksha Bandhan' (as stated), 'Bell Bottom', 'Sooryavanshi', 'Bachchan Pandey', a film with ‘Mission Mangal’ director Jagan Shakti, 'Ram Setu', 'Atrangi Re', 'Prithviraj', 'Oh My God! 2', and perhaps many more to come.
