Prakash Raj marries wife Pony Verma again, shares heartfelt note

The actor got married to choreographer Pony Verma on August 24, 2010. On the request of their son Vedhant, the couple got married again and shared some wonderful pictures and notes for each other on social media

Prakash Raj and Pony Verma were celebrating 11 years of togetherness on August 24. They tied the knot in 2010 but decided to do something unique as a part of their anniversary celebrations. The couple got married again only for their son Vedhant and this was revealed by Raj himself on his Instagram account. 


The actor shared a picture with Verma and their son and this is what he wrote- “We got married again tonight..because our son #vedhant wanted to witness it."

Verma, on her Instagram account, shared a video that captured the moments they have spent together and had something equally beautiful to share. She wrote- “11 years & we haven’t killed each other. To the stranger who is my everything now !!!"

Raj is one of the most successful and stunning performers of Indian Cinema. He has dabbled with multiple languages and has even been bestowed with the National Award. In Hindi, he’s best known for films like Wanted and Singham. Apart from these blockbusters, the other Hindi films he has acted in are Shakti- The Power, Khakee, Entertainment, Bhaag Milkha Bhaag, Singh Saab The Great, Policegiri, and Zanjeer. 

He will now be seen in Mani Ratnam's 'Ponniyin Selvan', which will be made in two parts. The film is based on Kalki Krishnamurthy's 1955 novel 'Ponniyin Selvan'. The book chronicles the story of the early days of Arulmozhivarman, one of the most powerful kings in the south, who went on to become the great Chola emperor Rajaraja Chola I. 'Ponniyin Selvan' is backed by Ratnam's production house Madras Talkies, along with Allirajah Subaskaran's banner Lyca Productions.
