The coronavirus lockdown certainly put a damper on any big plans one might have had last year, but that didn't keep our celebrities from adding some happiness to their lives. In a year filled with anxiety thanks to COVID-19, some of our Bollywood and Television actors welcomed little bundles of joy, while some others announced that they're on their way to parenthood.

As they say, every cloud has a silver lining! So, without further ado, here's a look at the list of coronial babies of B-town and the Television world. For the unversed, ‘coronial' is a term that has been coined to describe babies born in the coronavirus times, in the wake of pandemic-induced lockdown and isolation:

Anita Hassanandani says that the couple began talking about starting a family in early 2020, oblivious to how the year would bring the world to a standstill. "We decided to have a baby around March 10. At the time, COVID-19 had not set in. We were mentally and financially sound, our health was great, so it didn't make sense to put it off," said Rohit, as Hassanandani added, "Of course, we were initially nervous and worried about having a baby during the pandemic. But if this is God's plan, then so be it."

During the latter half of my pregnancy, I began to head outdoors for shoots, while following safety measures. Even in my 37th week, I was judging a singing reality show. Singer Neeti Mohan is expecting her first child with her husband, actor Nihaar Pandya. “I haven’t stepped out in six months,” says Mohan, further adding, “The body anyway endures a lot during pregnancy, and requires energy. In addition to that, enduring a [disease is undesirable]. We only interact with a small group of people.”

Prenatal classes are a daily feature in their lives, with Mohan now looking forward to learning pilates, as well. “I was so tired during the first three months that it felt like I was perpetually jet-lagged. From the fourth month, I began to practice ayangar yoga. I also walk for an hour every day, including the 20-minute sessions I take to after meals. The time I spend with my baby during the early hours of the day are special. I chant, and connect with my child during that time. I can feel the baby kicking as I chant. I also practice asanas that strengthen the lower back and stretch the hamstring muscles,” says Mohan.

After their firstborn, Taimur, took the world by storm in 2016 with his utter cuteness and charm, Bebo and Saifu gave their fans another reason to rejoice when they announced that they were expecting their second child. The couple welcomed their second son on February 21, 2021. Kareena had this advice for women who have conceived during this pandemic. She said, "I think every expecting mother should try and keep their thoughts clean and stay away from negativity. Please eat what your hearts want, but also don't overindulge. Keep your food and fitness regime, and build your immunities as much as possible with the necessary foods. Do intake an adequate amount of milk, ghee, curd along with freshly home-cooked food, as this is something that I'm personally following. We are in difficult times right now, so please do take all the necessary precautions. But do try to go on with your lives as carefully and normally as possible. I think the more normal you try to be with your lives, the more normal you will feel and the happier and positive you'll be."

Lisa asked her son, to which he replied, "Baby sister."
