Aiming to normalise nursing in public spaces, Neha supports Blake Lively for pumping at Disneyland

More power to moms

Neha Dhupia

In 2019, Neha Dhupia started the social media campaign, Freedom To Feed that aims to make public spaces conducive for nursing mothers and break the stigma around breastfeeding. Over the years, many have rallied behind the cause. The conversation got a major boost last week when Hollywood actor Blake Lively, who welcomed her fourth child last year, uploaded a picture of herself pumping at Disneyland Paris.

Dhupia says Lively’s act is a significant step towards building a supportive environment where mothers can breastfeed without judgment. She adds, “Blake Lively’s recent act of openly pumping at Disneyland Paris is a bold statement challenging societal norms. I commend her for showcasing the reality of motherhood. Her courage aligns with the spirit of our campaign, where we strive to create a world where every mother feels empowered and supported in her breastfeeding journey. I’m grateful for people like Blake who contribute to this crucial conversation on normalising breastfeeding in public spaces.”
