Nafisa Ali rubbishes Lucky Ali's death rumours

Lucky Ali

Late Tuesday night, rumours flew thick and fast that Lucky Ali was no more. It was said that the veteran singer had fallen prey to the virus. A section of netizens started expressing their condolences and got nostalgic about his chartbusters, including O sanam and Ek pal ka jeena. Actor buddy Nafisa Ali took to Twitter to clear the air. “Lucky is well... no COVID.” She informed that the ’90s sensation was at his Bengaluru farm and she had spoken to him. He was probably doing what he loves — strumming the guitar.

Last year in December, a video of Lucky Ali had gone viral surprising his fans with a performance of his hit song "O Sanam" in Goa, leaving social media users in awe of the well-known singer. The video was shared by actress Nafisa Ali on her official Instagram account. Nafisa, who currently resides in Goa, shared the video in which the singer was seen treating his fans with another soulful rendition of "O Sanam". "Lucky Ali's live and impromptu performance at Arambol. At the Garden of Dreams @officialluckyali #goa," she wrote on social media while sharing the video. In November last year, a video of the singer crooning his hit song 'O Sanam' and playing it on the guitar, went viral. In the video, the singer stops at a line where there is a mention of the word 'death', drawing a widespread emotional response from fans.

In January this year, Lucky Ali dropped a fresh track titled 'Sayyaah unplugged'. The new song was a reprised and fresh rendition of his previously released song of the same name. Besides the new rendition, the video of the song was also quite appealing as it captured some of the scenic and picturesque shots of Goa and its beaches. The video of the song saw Ali seated and singing at a stage while his band members sat besides him. As per the YouTube description of the song, the video is "live, raw, unplugged." The original 'Sayyaah' song was released in 2011 and was a part of his album 'Raasta Man'.
