After Dia Mirza, mom-to-be Geeta Basra is also advising pregnant women to refrain from taking the vaccine until clinical trials are done. Harbhajan Singh’s wife’s social media account is full of messages from pregnant women on whether they should take the shot or not.

“Many doctors are advising to-be moms against it as there are chances that it may cause complications during pregnancy. I have also been advised by my doctors to not take the vaccine for now,” says Basra, who is expecting baby number two in July. The couple’s first-born, daughter Hinaya Heer, is four.

Meanwhile, Geeta has been a staunch advocate of the benefits of yoga for pregnant women. She has been posting pictures and videos a lot these days while practising yoga and sharing tips along with it. "So during COVID times when there’s very little to no physical activity.. you can’t go anywhere, unsafe to go to gyms etc especially for expecting mothers, the one thing that has got me through this pregnancy is YOGA. It was something I practised with my guru @rohitflowyoga even before being pregnant on a daily basis but during pregnancy with constant backaches and cramps, yoga has surely given me relief in many ways. So for many expectant mothers out there looking for some form of exercise, this is something I truly recommend (even to those who are not pregnant). But please note any form of training and practice should ONLY be done under the supervision of a professional," she wrote in a recent Instagram post, along with few pictures.

"I realised many mothers out there do not have the option of getting themselves a good online yoga professional teacher, so I decided I will show you some of the easy basic stretches I do that you can bring in to your daily life during your second and third trimester. The asanas I will be showing are at basic level which anyone can do in the comforts of their own home with no risk of injury to yourself or baby. Asanas I practice beyond this or at a slightly advanced level are only done under the supervision of my yoga practitioner and advised for you also to follow the same [sic]," Geeta wrote in her post.

She continued, "In this video, I will be showing some breathing pranayamas to begin with to start our routine so our body can warm-up, followed by some light floor asanas. I will be taking it one step at a time. You can pick and choose whatever you feel your body is most comfortable with, not overdoing anything and NO contracting or tightening of your stomach during any asana. If you feel at any time there is dizziness or pain, please stop immediately. Any form of exercise or physical activity is only advised after you have been given permission from your Gynaecologist. [sic]"

Geeta and Harbhajan got married in October 2015 after a courtship of five years. The two had an intimate wedding in Jalandhar. After a year, in 2016, they gave birth to Hinaya.
