"So many people suffering, so many friends, family members, acquaintances are infected. Getting calls and messages from known and unknown for desperate help. Never felt so helpless. Praying hard for this suffering of the people to end and this time to pass soon!! Please stay indoors!," wrote Manoj on Twitter.
"Thank you for sending me all your love and best wishes on my birthday!!! We are living in a very testing time. It will pass eventually. Let’s hold each other’s hand to cross this dark tunnel before we see the light on the other end of it," he wrote in another tweet.
On the work front, Bajpayee was last seen playing a police officer named ACP Avinash, in the digital film "Silence... Can You Hear It". The mystery thriller film, also starring Prachi Desai, Arjun Mathur, Sahil Vaid, Vaquar, Barkha Singh, Shirish Sharma, Sohaila Kapoor, Amit Thakkar and Garima Yagnik, premiered on March 26 on Zee5.
The actor was recently declared Best Actor at the 67th National Film Awards along with Dhanush. While Manoj won for Bhonsle, Dhanush received the award for the Tamil film Asuran. The film deals with the real problem faced by migrants in Mumbai, which is relevant in the present times. Bajpayee plays the lead role of Ganpat Bhonsle, for which he has received critical acclaim.
