In the wedding video, Azlaan held his mother, Mahira's hand and took her to the altar where Salim was waiting to reunite with her. The groom got emotional as he saw his bride dressed in an exquisite powder blue lehenga. Mahira and Salim hugged each other. They were teary-eyed. Azlaan couldn't hold back his tears at the wedding.

A small portion of the video was first shared by Mahira's manager Anushay Talha Khan on Sunday.  In the clip, Salim was seen wiping off drops of tears on seeing Mahira. As they reunited at the altar, the groom lifted the beautiful bride's veil.

Salim is Mahira's second husband. The actress was previously married to Ali Askari. They tied the knot in 2007 and got divorced in 2015. The couple's son Azlaan was born in 2009.

Reports claim that Mahira and Salim met for the first time at an event hosted by the television application, Tapmad TV. The actress has kept her personal life guarded and rarely spoke about her relationship with him.

In April 2019, Mahira and Salim got engaged in an intimate ceremony. Sharing pictures on Instagram, she wrote, "Here is to love, madness, sweet suites, tears of joy, laughter, winging speeches, jeevay jeevay.. here is to life."

Mahira confirmed her relationship with Salim in 2020 during an Instagram live with Pakistani designer HSY. When the designer asked, "You are in love now, his name is Salim. When you look deep into his eyes, what is the first thing that comes to your mind?" The actress said she wasn't comfortable talking about her personal life. Instead, she recited a dialogue from her famous show, Humsafar, to explain her feelings. “There's a line in Humsafar, which I thought was beautiful, where Ashar says to Khirad, 'Pata nahi tum mujhe kis naiki kay badlay main miley ho (I don't know what I did right to deserve you.) I think the same about him," she shared.
