Her recent slate of projects is testimony to the fact that Kritika Kamra is making a decisive change in her cinematic career. Following her act in Anubhav Sinha’s social drama Bheed, in which she took on the role of a journalist, and that in Rensil D’Silva and Shujaat Saudagar’s period crime drama series, Bambai Meri Jaan, that saw her essay the part of a gangster, Kamra is hoping to continue pushing the envelope in 2024. This year, she has high-intensity thrillers like Gyaarah Gyaarah and For Your Eyes Only in her kitty.

“I find fulfilment in choosing projects that deviate from the expected, and take me far beyond the realms of what people anticipate. These narratives are intense, layered with suspense, and demand a profound emotional investment,” says the actor.
In Guneet Monga and Karan Johar-produced investigative crime thriller series Gyaarah Gyaarah, which is set in three different timelines, Kamra plays a cop. “In essence, this upcoming chapter in my career is not just about delivering performances; it’s about immersing myself in the transformative power of storytelling. It is about pushing boundaries, defying expectations, and unveiling dimensions of my craft that perhaps even I am yet to fully uncover.”
