In two days, the eighth season of Karan Johar's popular talk show 'Koffee with Karan' will be launched. Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh will be the season openers and if the promos are anything to go by, it is going to be a riot. This is the first time that the duo will be appearing together in a chat show after their wedding in 2018 and speaking about their relationship. While fans of the show are eagerly awaiting to know the line-up of the show this season, we hear an old pair is set to make a return.

According to a report in India Today, Kajol and Rani Mukerji will be gracing the couch together. "Kajol and Rani Mukerji have given their nods to shoot for an episode together. The two distant cousins from the industry last appeared together in 2007 along with Shah Rukh Khan. This is the first time they will appear together in KWK after Season 2. Karan has a lot of fun things planned for the duo," the source told the publication. Rani and Kajol worked together in the film 'Kuch Kuch Hota Hai' along with Shah Rukh Khan. The trio was an instant hit.
Recently, during the Durga Puja festivities, Rani and Kajol took part in all rituals together at the North Bombay pandal in Juhu. Kajol also shared a picture with Rani here they are seen hugging each other and posing.
This season aims to get family members together. Karan has been trying to get Shah Rukh Khan along with his daughter Suhana Khan on the show. However, the father-daughter duo is yet to give their nd. Suhana will be making her acting debut later this year with the Netflix film 'The Archies.
Meanwhile, talking about the opening episode promo, Karan Johar warmly addresses DeepVeer as "Bollywood Royalty." Deepika graces the screen in an exquisite black dress, while Ranveer Singh matches her energy with his dashing black ensemble.In the following moments of the video, Karan delves into intriguing questions, probing Deepika about the possibility of dating Rocky Randhawa, a quirky character recently portrayed by Ranveer Singh in Karan Johar's 'Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani.' A hearty laugh escapes Deepika as she playfully responds, "I'm already married to Rocky Randhawa!"
