Koffee With Karan Season 8's new episode has just dropped. The episode featured a true blue Deol moment. Sunny and Bobby Deol graced the couch to talk to Karan Johar about their remarkable careers, their respective highs and lows, the future, and their families. The brothers looked extremely sharp in their chosen ensembles. Bobby Deol showed up wearing a classic Versace-printed shirt, and Sunny Deol wowed in a cream-colored suit.

It's safe to say that the brothers did not hold back in this episode. Both Sunny and Bobby Deol were as raw as it gets. They brought their signature blend of humor and truthfulness to everything they discussed, so when the topic of failures in Bobby's career was broached, it was answered with no apprehension. It's no secret that Bobby unfortunately saw years of no good work before he won big in his career with great parts in series such as Ashram and Class of 83, and films like Love Hostel.

Karan Johar asked Bobby about the dark days he faced after hearing that Bobby had sunk into depression after a few films not doing well. Bobby answered candidly, "I gave up, started pitying myself, and I just took on drinking a lot. I would just sit at home and say, 'Why don't people take me? I'm good.' I became so negative about everything, and there was no positivity from me," he added. "And suddenly, I heard my son speaking to his mom, saying, 'Papa sits at home, and you go to work every day.' I just snapped."

Karan Johar followed up by asking Bobby if he remembered the exact moment he got out of feeling depressed. "It was obviously a slow process. When I got out of it, it took some time for my mindset to become okay. My brother, sisters, and my mom, are always there, but you can't do anything holding someone's hand. I always wanted someone to hold my hand to take me forward because I'm the youngest, but you have to walk on your own two feet. When I realized that, things started changing. I became more serious, focused about things, and when you're focused, you have that energy that attracts people. I mean I have gone and met so many people, I said to myself, I will go and meet people, tell them I want to work with you all. I came to you also, you still haven't worked with me." Bobby Deol added.

Bobby Deol even revealed how Salman Khan, or 'Mamu' as they affectionately call each other, has been such a positive force for him and his career. Bobby reflected on how Salman holds Dharmendra and subsequently the Deols in high regard, as Salman recalled piggybacking on Sunny while he faced a lull in his career. Bobby recalled saying, "Mamu mujhe tere peeth mei chad ne de na." Bobby mentioned that Salman always remembered that because, and lo and behold, one day the phone rang, and Bobby answered Salman Khan asking, 'Mamu, shirt utarega?' and then being offered Race 3.

Bobby Deol is set to be the antagonist in Sandeep Reddy Vanga's 'Animal.' The movie is slated to release on December 1 in theatres.
