Throughout the 90s, Kapoor signed one film after another and was one of the busiest actresses in Tinsel Town. Fame and stardom stepped at her doorstep with films like ‘Suhaag’, ‘Andaz Apna Apna’, ‘Raja Hindustani’, and ‘Dil To Pagal Hai’, which gave her the first National Award of her career in 1998.
The one filmmaker and actor she had maximum collaborations with were David Dhawan and Govinda. With Dhawan, she was seen in films like ‘Raja Babu’, ‘Coolie No. 1’, ‘Saajan Chale Sasural’, ‘Judwaa’, ‘Hero No. 1’, ‘Haseena Maan Jaayegi’, ‘Chal Mere Bhai’, and ‘Dulhan Hum Le Jayenge’.
Two of her greatest performances came in 2000 and 2001 when she acted in Khalid Mohamed’s ‘Fiza’ and Shyam Benegal’s ‘Zubeidaa’. After acting in the 2003 thriller ‘Baaz- A Bird In Danger’, she took a hiatus from acting. She made her Bollywood comeback with Vikram Bhatt’s ‘Dangerous Ishq’ in 2012 and her last acting assignment was in the form of the web series ‘Mentalhood.’
