Karan Johar's twins Roohi and Yash are 'prepping for the monsoon'

Though the doting dad shares hilarious pictures and videos of the two, grandmother Hiroo Johar is particular about their studies.

As Mumbai braced itself for Cyclone Tauktae, Karan Johar’s children, Yash and Roohi, decided to get rain-ready. The filmmaker shared pictures of the twins in raincoats and wrote, “Prepping for the monsoon.”

Though the doting dad shares hilarious pictures and videos of the two, grandmother Hiroo Johar is particular about their studies. She ensured that they did not miss their Khar playschool’s online sessions and activities even for a day.

Speaking about the update, the cyclone is categorised now as 'Extremely Severe Cyclonic Storm', its effects were felt shortly after midnight of Sunday-Monday with many areas lashed by heavy rains, accompanied by lightning and thunder in some places, aggravated by powerful winds, as it whirled northwards from Sindhudurg-Ratnagiri towards Raigad-Mumbai en route to the Gujarat coast.

As a major precautionary measure, the state authorities have already shifted out 7,866 people from vulnerable spots along the coast, besides another around 4,000 in Sindhudurg, Ratnagiri and Thane, an official said.

Till Monday morning, the city had recorded 8.37 mm rains, 6.53 in eastern suburbs and 3.92 in western suburbs, substantially cooling the weather at the height of mid-summer when Mumbai swelters with the mercury remaining in the upper-30s-to-mid-40s.

Johar is currently busy with his next directorial "Takht", which stars Ranveer Singh, Vicky Kaushal, Alia Bhatt, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Anil Kapoor, Bhumi Pednekar and Janhvi Kapoor. The film marks his return to the big screen as director for the first time since his 2016 release "Ae Dil Hai Mushkil".

His anthology production "Ajeeb Dastaans" was released recently and the team received a positive response.
