Karan Johar opened up about his love life at a recent event. Karan Johar, known and loved for his movies centred around love and friendship, delved into the subject of the intricacies of finding love in the real world. This revelation came as he celebrated an astounding 25 years in the industry, reflecting on his debut directorial masterpiece 'Kuch Kuch Hota Hai' and how finding love in today's world is so much more different than it used to be.

Karan Johar shared his thoughts during the event, shedding light on the vast difference that was found in finding love over the years. He expressed that the present generation faces more challenges during breakups than their predecessors.
One interesting aspect of his disclosure was his venture into the world of dating apps. Yes, dating apps. Karan admitted that despite his fame and standing in the entertainment industry, he had never explored a dating app to find love. However, he decided to give it a try and downloaded Raya, a dating app known for its exclusive user base, including individuals who are celebrities.
With a touch of self-deprecating humour, Karan shared the hurdles he encountered on the app. "But every time I swiped right, there was no match. I faced multiple rejections," he candidly revealed.
The filmmaker speculated that potential matches on the app might have considered his profile a fake account, leading to the lack of responses. Faced with numerous setbacks, Karan Johar decided to bid farewell to the dating app with a wry smile. "I felt a bit of insecurity. I was quite generous with my swipes, but there was no reciprocity," he added.
Karan went on to question In a lighthearted yet thought-provoking manner, the ubiquitous advice to "put yourself out there" Karan added, “Find someone one can relate to and who is compassionate and compatible.” He added that everyone’s struggles are the same. He then laughed at how people often tell everyone to ‘put yourself out there’. He questioned, “But where is that ‘there’? I have looked for that but don’t know where to go.”
On the work front, Karan is currently basking in the success of Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani, which starred Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt. The filmmaker has Yodha on the Horizon next.
