Kajol revealed the story behind the iconic poster shoot of the 1995 film Dilwale Dulhania Le Jaayenge with Shah Rukh Khan

Remember the iconic poster of 'Dilwale Dulhania Le Jaayenge' where Shah Rukh Khan is seen lifting Kajol on his shoulder? Well turns out, Khan was injured after the photoshoot. In the poster, Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol can be seen giving each other smiling glances. While Khan is dressed in his iconic jacket and hat, Kajol is seen in an orange traditional wear with heavy jewellery.

In an interview with Curly tales, Kajol revealed that she was worried for Khan as he got a frozen shoulder after their photoshoot. Reacting to the poster, Kajol said, “One thing that comes to my mind is how I got into that position by the way. Ek toh bechara Shah Rukh kandhe pe uthaake... mujhe itna bura lag raha tha uske liye, itna bura lag raha tha (Poor Shah Rukh was standing with me on his shoulder, I was feeling so bad for him). I was like, ‘are you sure you can do this?’ He said, ‘Don’t worry, I am strong.' I was like, ‘ya, but you have to carry me on your shoulder. Will you be able to?'"
Kajol agreed it looked very effortless, but said, “I was really worried about him. I think he took a hit onto his masculinity that ‘How can you say that to me? I am a guy.' He very sweetly carried me and didn't make me feel heavy at all… Later, there was frozen shoulder. Us waqt tha ‘wow’ (that time it was wow).”
Kajol and Shah Rukh have also worked together in 'Baazigar', 'Kuch Kuch Hota Hai', 'My Name is Khan', 'Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham' and 'Dilwale'. The duo has been great friends in real life and is one of the best pairs on screen.
Recently, Kajol made her web series debut with 'The Trial'. She plays a lawyer in the series and fights different kinds of cases. During the promotions of the show, Kajol sparked controversy when she playfully questioned the box office collection of Shah Rukh Khan's 'Pathaan'. During an interview, she was asked what question she would have for SRK if she was given a chance. "How much did Pathaan really?" she said and burst out in to laughter. This question led to netizens actually questioning the collections of Pathaan as it crossed over Rs 1000 crores world wide.
