Naved and brother Jaaved were for long associated with the trendsetting dance show 'Boogie Woogie', one of the oldest reality TV shows in India. Reality television as a genre has changed since the time 'Boogie Woogie' had first aired in 1996. Speaking of his contribution to Indian cinema, the late legendary star had been a part of several big films through the 70s, 80s and even through the 90s. He was best known for his impeccable comic timing. He is still remembered for playing the role of Soorma Bhopali in the film 'Sholay'. Jagdeep started his acting career as a child artist, Jagdeep was also seen in movies like 'Purana Mandir' (1984), 'Andaz Apna Apna' (1994), and many more. Jagdeep's other major roles were in Khilona, Brahmachari, Phool Aur Kaante, among others.  From a child artiste to lead actor and then comic icon, Jagdeep appeared in around 400 films.
