Actress Jacqueline Fernandez began the New Year by paying obeisance at Mata Vaishno Devi shrine on January 4. According to reports, she reached Katra early morning, following which she went to the Bhawan on foot and paid obeisance at the shrine. Jacqueline was last seen in Rohit Shetty's Ranveer Singh-starrer Cirkus, that proved to be a flop at the box-office.

In the pictures, Jacqueline is seen in a white jacket with pants and her hair tied. She also sported a tika on her forehead after she paid obeisance at the shrine.

Jacqueline Fernandez has been named as an accused in the extortion case to the tune of Rs 215 crore involving alleged conman Sukesh Chandrashekhar. Earlier, Jacqueline was granted bail on a personal bond of Rs 2 lakh by the court in the case. The actor has been summoned by the Enforcement Directorate several times in connection with the investigation. In December, actor Nora Fatehi had filed a defamation case against Jacqueline, alleging that the latter made defamatory allegations against her for malicious reasons. According to Fatehi, Fernandez sought to criminally defame her in order to destroy her career to further her own interests, since they are both working in the same industry and have similar backgrounds, amongst other reasons. Both Fernandez and Fatehi had recorded their statement as witness in the case.
