Jackie on playing brother to Disha Patani in Radhe-Your Most Wanted Bhai.
Salman Khan with Disha Patani and Jackie Shroff in Radhe
Until we point out the off-pairing of him and Disha Patani as siblings in Radhe-Your Most Wanted Bhai, Jackie Shroff says the ambiguity around their age difference never crossed his mind. “Now that you brought it up I am thinking of my age,” teases Shroff, adding that it is tough for an artiste to survive in the industry if they are concerned with trivial matters.

For Shroff, whose actor-son Tiger is dating Patani, the recipe for success has always been paying heed to the director’s requirements. “I go on set and you will see a different side of my personality. I mold myself as per the director’s needs. I don’t consider the relations. If we think about the emotion, we can’t work. Listen to your director, work and leave. If you are capable of working, walking, and acting, be grateful.”

The actor has reprised his role as a cop in the film that has, so far, garnered mixed reactions. While Shroff has dabbled in several genres, playing the role of a police official has always been special. “In films like Ram Lakhan, and Khalnayak, I have donned uniforms. In fact, there was a time that I had a cop uniform in my wardrobe that I’d simply wear and go to set because only the names of my characters would differ. The role has stayed with me, and I choose to not change myself because I don’t want to tax my brains to get an Oscar. In Radhe, my character is the one who brings comic relief.”
