Mid Day Online met up with the actress for an exclusive interview on the occasion of Diwali, wherein she revealed her plans about how she is planning to celebrate the festival of lights

Hi Hrishita! What are your Diwali plans?
I always look forward to celebrating it with my mom and my family. And obviously now onwards, you know, since I'm married, I always look forward to celebrating with my husband and my other family and this is something I always try to do. So, this year, I'm pretty much in Delhi celebrating it with him. And Diwali is normally really fun in Delhi because, there's friends, family and food.

Do you believe in gifting or getting gifts during Diwali?
Diwali is the most beautiful time. I love to gift my near and dear ones and also to receive gifts.

Do you burst firecrackers during the festival or you believe in sound and smoke pollution free Diwali?
I like the non-sound making crackers Now I am completely against most of the crackers because of pollution.
What does Diwali mean to you?
During Diwali, I always decorate my home with Rangoli, diyas, lots of candles, and lot of lights. I also love those cute little danglers. Even when I am shooting outdoor, I have always carried candles with me. Diwali is very special to me.
What new / exciting stuff have you planned for Diwali this year?
I am in Delhi, celebrating Diwali with my friends and family. There's always a ritual of Lakshmi Puja. Rest everything is as always.
