Ever since son Aryan was arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau in the cruise drugs case, Gauri and Shah Rukh Khan kept themselves away from public glare. After over two months, Gauri resurfaced on Instagram to announce her new venture with fashion designer duo Falguni and Shane Peacock. She has begun work on the interiors of their Hyderabad store. “A collaboration where design meets fashion...new designs, new city, same team.... so excited for the continuation of this alliance,” posted Gauri. King Khan made a virtual appearance at an event in Gurugram for a car brand he endorses. He wished cricketers Smriti Mandhana, Jemima Rodrigues, Taniya Bhatia and Shafali Verma, who have been appointed the new brand ambassadors via a video message. SRK is also slated to resume shooting for Pathan soon. The couple is keen to leave the past behind and immerse themselves in work.

After Salman Khan’s trip to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, for the Da-bangg The Tour — Reloaded concert, Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh also winged their way to the desert kingdom. The two walked the red carpet at the Red Sea International Film Festival in Jeddah, where 83 was the closing film on Wednesday. Dippy donned Dubai-based Filipino designer Michael Cinco’s coral gown while Ranveer Singh stepped out in a Gucci suit.
Quarantine treat for Bebo
Kareena Kapoor Khan’s producer buddy Rhea Kapoor and mother Sunita sent her some Swiss treats to cheer her up while in self-isolation. Bebo, who is recovering from Covid-19, shared a glimpse of her time in quarantine on social media. “Diving right in,” posted Bebo. Rhea replied, “Chocolates make everything better.” The actor is known to have a sweet tooth and relishes desserts. Bebo is also missing husband Saif Ali Khan, who has been busy shooting. She shared his snapshot and wrote, “So we are still in love in the times of the Corona era. Don’t forget guys, it’s lurking.” Bebo’s househelp has also tested positive for the virus.
Rocking the silver crown
As more pictures from veteran actor Dilip Joshi’s daughter Niyati’s wedding festivities do the rounds, netizens could not help but notice the bride’s grey mane. She is being lauded for not resorting to societal pressures. Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’s Jethalal has a reason to be proud. “Thank you for sporting your grey hair and not colouring it. I think it’s important to be our natural selves and embrace who we are even on special occasions,” wrote one of Jethalal’s fans. “This is called simplicity... he raised them like this,” wrote another admirer.

On Thursday, Pratik Gandhi and Vidya Balan had lots to cheer about as they completed the last schedule of Shirsha Guha Thakurta’s untitled film. Though the two are working together for the first time, they gelled well from the first time they got together for the script-reading sessions. “And just like that, a wonderful winter spell in Ooty comes to an end. As we wrap the shoot of our comedy-drama, I will cherish these memories for life,” posted Balan. The film about modern relationships also stars Ileana D’Cruz and Sendhil Ramamurthy, who featured n Raj-DK’s Shor in the City (2011).
Call of duty
After recovering from Covid-19, Amit Sadh is back on the set of the third season of Breathe Into the Shadows. The actor, who tested positive late last month, was under home quarantine. “I am thankful to everyone for their warm wishes. I missed being in front of the camera. The series is close to my heart because it gives me a lot to explore as an actor,” said Sadh, who reprises his role of cop Kabir Sawant in the Abhishek Bachchan and Nithya Menen- starrer.
Karisma, Manish unaffected?
There is no health update about Karisma Kapoor and Manish Malhotra, who were also part of Karan Johar’s home bash, which turned to be a super-spreader of the virus among the guests. Lolo has been sharing pictures on Instagram, so we guess all is well. Malhotra had contracted the virus in April this year. Except for the two, the rest of the guests, including Seema Khan, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Amrita Arora Ladak and Maheep Kapoor, tested positive. Maheep’s daughter Shanaya has also been infected.
Wedding reception on the cards
