It’s been too long since we saw Shah Rukh Khan on the big screen. While Pathaan and the untitled Atlee film is currently underway, the badshah we hear is in talks with Naradan director Aashiq Abu for a thriller. In an interview, the filmmaker reveals that while Shah Rukh liked the idea, it would take some time to match their schedules. But “it will be some kind of thriller,” he confirms.


Salman to make his gallery debut

After creating art on canvas for years, Salman Khan is finally ready to showcase his work in his first ever solo show. Titled Motherhood: An Artistic Ode To Mother Teresa, the show will feature three paintings by the actor, including two new large-sized works at the Bengaluru’s gallery this March. Salman has dedicated a lot of his creative craft to Mother Theresa and her humanitarian work. He said, “I like to say it with my films, stories, the songs I sing, and with the dialogues I deliver. Sometimes, I like saying it with colour and a blank canvas.” Salman’s work was first virtually  showcased on Google Arts and Culture in February 2021.

Cop Sanya on a case

After delivering a fierce performance in Love Hostel, Sanya Malhotra has moved on to her next venture. The actor will be portraying a police officer in Kathal, helmed by debutant Yashowardhan Mishra. The movie revolves around the case of a local politician’s missing jackfruits (kathal in Hindi), which is entrusted to Sanya’s cop character. Later, the actor will be seen in the Hindi remake of The Great Indian Kitchen.

Sunny Leone

Sunny Leone is back in the OTT space with Anamika, a spy thriller. She plays an intel agent who suffers amnesia and has gone rogue for which the actor learned gun-fu. While the story seems inspired by the Matt Damon’s Jason Bourne franchise, but getting Sunny to do stunts will definitely boost the ticket sales, no?

Ajay Devgn and Akshay Kumar

The makers of Prithviraj recently announced that they were advancing the release of the Akshay Kumar-starrer by a week. Initially slated to release on June 10 this year, the historical, which also features Sanjay Dutt and Sonu Sood, will now arrive on June 3. This came as a surprise since the date was already booked for Ajay Devgn’s Maidaan. But it seems, Boney Kapoor was always contemplating on deferring Maidaan date with the theatres in order to avoid eating into 
Ajay’s April 29 release, Runway 34.

Living on an airplane

Sikandar Kher is collecting frequent flying miles as he juggles shooting in Mumbai and Kolkata. The actor, who was last seen in Aarya 2, is shooting for the thriller series, Chidiya Udd in Mumbai and an untitled series with a Kolkata-based director. Sikandar says he feels “fortunate to have a tight shoot schedule. [Although], rejuvenation is equally important”.

Shruti is overwhelmed

Shruti Haasan’s layered performance in the series, Bestseller has been lauded by critics and audiences alike. “I am overwhelmed and thankful for the response to the character,” says the actor-singer, adding, “We live in such a blessed time as actors [because now we have] so many avenues to try different things as artistes.” Shruti is waiting for the release of her Telugu film Salaar opposite Prabhas.
