Mika Singh and Sanjay Gupta lashed out at Bollywood stars for not speaking in favour of Shah Rukh Khan in son Aryan’s case. The filmmaker posted, “Shah Rukh Khan has and continues to give jobs and livelihoods to thousands in the film industry. He has always stood up for every cause for the industry. The astute silence of the industry in his moment of crisis is nothing short of shameful.” The singer replied, ‘You are right, they are watching the drama and cannot say even a single word. I’m with SRK. Aryan should get bail.” Among the leading stars, Hrithik Roshan was the first to openly support Aryan. Hansal Mehta, Rahul Dholakia, Sussanne Khan, Raveena Tandon Thadani, Suchitra Krishnamoorthi, Pooja Bhatt, Ali Fazal, Vishal Dadlani, Shekhar Suman and Raj Babbar have also expressed solidarity with SRK.

Why Sircar will never make a sequel

 Shoojit Sircar

Following the success of Vicky Donor (2012), director Shoojit Sircar was offered “loads of money to make a sequel,” and told to do “whatever he wants,” but he turned down the opportunity. Sircar believes he can never make it again. “I don’t think I am capable enough to make it. I will fail miserably,” said the filmmaker during a virtual session of the India Film Project. John Abraham’s production, about a sperm donor, featured Ayushmann Khurrana, Annu Kapoor and Yami Gautam. Juhi Chaturvedi wrote the script.

Manukriti will be sharing screen space with her mother. “I’m playing her mother-in-law.
