On Wednesday, rumours flew thick and fast about Katrina Kaif and Vicky Kaushal’s wedding. Those in the know stated that the two will tie the knot in December. It made its way to the top trends on social media. Every few weeks reports of their nuptials surface, including details about the destination and Kat’s bridal lehenga. Though they have been together for a while, neither of them have spoken about their relationship. On Tuesday night, they were spotted at celebrity manager Reshma Shetty’s home. Sources close to Kat have pooh-poohed the speculation and termed it idle gossip. Till the duo come out in the open, the rumour mills will continue to work overtime.
The freedom to feed
Neha Dhupia let out a message for those who oppose nursing in public. They feel it’s not decent for a woman to expose her breasts to feed a child. The actor shared a picture of herself breastfeeding her son and captioned it, “Freedom to feed.” Dhupia and actor husband Angad Bedi welcomed their second child on October 3. Their first-born, daughter Mehr, turns three next month.
Kaushal’s swansong
Raj Kaushal’s last directorial venture, Akkad Bakkad Rafu Chakkar, will release digitally on November 3. The filmmaker passed away in June. Wife Mandira Bedi shared, “When a great idea would hit him, there would be a sparkle in his eye and a spring in his step. He had that unabating energy all through the writing and making of the show. It breaks my heart that he can’t see his labour of love, but I am thankful to Amazon Prime Video for seeing it through.” The crime series stars Vicky Arora, Anuj Rampal, Swati Semwal and Mohan Agashe.
Beyond the comfort zone
Akanksha Sharma features in the music video of Badshah’s latest song, Jugnu. The rapper, who has collaborated with Shah Rukh Khan’s production house, says he has stepped out of his comfort zone for the track. “Everything out there is worth exploring, worth trying, worth a failure, if at all there is,”
says Badshah.

Almost official?
Sussanne Khan celebrated her 43rd birthday on Tuesday in Goa with rumoured beau Arslan Goni. “Happy birthday darling. I pray that you have a great year and an amazing life. The best heart I have come across in life,” read the actor’s post to mark her special day. The interior designer referred to him as her “everything” while thanking him. There has been tattle about Hrithik Roshan’s ex-wife and Goni being a twosome since earlier this year.
Bhumi with Raj
Bhumi Pednekar will team up with Rajkummar Rao in Anubhav Sinha’s Bheed. “Being part of an Anubhav Sinha film is a matter of honour and privilege. He shares my value system in believing that movies have the power to shift mindsets. As artistes, the responsibility of telling such stories lies with us. This is a crackling subject, and I can’t wait to get on to it,” says Pednekar. The film rolls next month in Lucknow. Rao and Pednekar also share screen space in the upcoming Badhaai Do.
Call of the islands
On Wednesday, Kangana Ranaut winged her way to the Andaman & Nicobar Islands for the new schedule of Tejas. Sarvesh Mewara’s directorial venture features her as an Indian Air Force pilot. She also visited Veer Savarkar’s cell in the Kala Pani jail in Port Blair and paid her respects. Ranaut earlier shot for the actioner in Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh.
A blooming good time
R Balki has finished shooting Chup — Revenge of the Artist. Shreya Dhanwanthary, who features in the psychological thriller alongside Dulquer Salmaan, posted photos from the completion party on the set. Salmaan cut the “the wrap-up cake” with team members. For the unit it may be a job done, but none of Balki’s films are complete without Amitabh Bachchan being part of them in some capacity. Chup, which also stars Sunny Deol and Pooja Bhatt, has a florist shop integral to the plot. That’s where the twists and turns bloom in the film.
Back on scene
Pahlaj Nihalani makes a comeback with his next production, Anaari Is Back, starring newcomers. The former Censor Board chief finds “joy and pride” in introducing fresh faces. “I am happy that Govinda, Chunky Pandey, Neelam and Divya Bharti started their cinematic journey with me.” The film is a comedy but with sanskari ideals.
