On Monday, Hrithik Roshan could not have asked for a better way to celebrate his 48th birthday. As he provided the first glimpse of his look in Vikram Vedha, overjoyed fans felt he had nailed the gangster look just as he had done in Agneepath (2012). They termed it “as his most badass role ever” and wondered “how the anti-hero could look so hot with blood and sweat”. Roshan reprises Vijay Sethupathi’s role in the remake of Pushkar–Gayathri’s 2017 Tamil film. The duo wield the directorial baton for the Hindi version as well, starring Saif Ali Khan as the cop Vikram. Madhavan, who played Vikram in the original, was also in awe of Roshan’s look. “Now that’s a Vedha I do want to see…. wow bro... this is epic,” posted Madhavan.

The Salman Khan-hosted Bigg Boss 15 appears to be in no hurry to wrap up. The reality show’s final episode was to air on January 16, but now the makers have pushed it to the month-end. Ranveer Singh seeks inspiration from Hollywood star Daniel Day-Lewis who transforms himself in every film that he chooses to do. Day-Lewis has bagged three Oscar awards — for Lincoln (2012), There Will Be Blood (2008) and My Left Foot (1990). Singh says, “I endeavour to create characters that are distinct from each other. I am fascinated by actors who can be shape-shifters and chameleons like Daniel Day-Lewis,” says Singh, who played Kapil Dev in his recent release, 83. “It’s these daunting challenges that excite me, and I embrace them fully,” adds Singh.

Karan Johar finally got an opportunity to watch the Malayalam film, Minnal Murali, starring Tovino Thomas. Like several others, KJo was impressed by the superhero flick. The filmmaker sent a message to Tovino, which read, “What a clutter-breaker film. You were incredible. Congratulations.” Thomas has reportedly evinced interest in Bollywood. He was offered Naga Chaitanya’s role in Aamir Khan’s Laal Singh Chaddha but had to turn it down as he was busy with Minnal Murali. It won’t be a big surprise if KJo has something lined up for the Malayalam actor.

South actor Siddharth’s tweet criticising Saina Nehwal has sparked an outrage. After the badminton champ posted about the security threat to Narendra Modi in Punjab, the Rang De Basanti (2006) actor reacted to her post by calling her “Subtle cock champion of the world. That’s the reference. Nothing disrespectful was intended or said.”
