Hrithik extends support to Aryan

On Thursday, Hrithik Roshan was among the first top Bollywood stars to openly support Aryan Khan. He posted a letter on Instagram for Shah Rukh Khan’s son. “I’ve known you as a kid, and as a man. Own it. Own everything you experience. They are your gifts. Trust me, in time when you connect the dots, I promise you, it’s gonna make sense,” Roshan wrote. He added, “Keep calm and observe. These moments are the makers of your tomorrow with a brilliant sun shining. But for it, you must go through the dark.” Describing life as “a strange, uncertain ride, which throws you curveballs,” he wrote, “Mistakes, failings, victories and success... they are all the same if you know which parts to keep and which to throw away. But know that you can grow better with them all,” posted Roshan.

Don’t glorify mistakes

 Kangana Ranaut

With everyone having an opinion on the Aryan Khan case, can Kangana Ranaut be far behind? As soon as Hrithik Roshan extended support to the star son, she took to her Instagram Story and wrote, “Now all mafia pappu coming to Aryan’s defence. We make mistakes, but we must not glorify them. It’s criminal to make them feel that they did no wrong. I trust this will give him [Aryan] perspective and make him realise the consequences of his actions.”

In love

Zeeshan Khan and Reyhnaa Pandit

Zeeshan Khan plays Reyhnaa Pandit’s son in Ekta Kapoor’s Kumkum Bhagya, but off-screen they are a twosome. Love blossomed on the set earlier this year. Khan, who features as Aryan, is in no mood to keep things under wraps. He made the relationship Insta official by sharing a picture of the two locking lips. “You are my girl, and I am telling the world,” Khan wrote. Pandit plays Alia in the long-running show.

In mother’s memory

Janhvi Kapoor and late Sridevi

Janhvi Kapoor’s new tattoo on her arm reads,  ‘I love you my Labbu’.  Late mom Sridevi used to affectionately call her Labbu. In February, to mark Sri’s third death anniversary, Kapoor had shared a note written by her mother. It read, “I love you, my Labbu. You are the best baby in the world.” The tattoo is a replica of Sridevi’s handwriting as well.

No flight of fancy

Krissann Barretto

Krissann Barretto, who featured in digital shows, Class of 2017 and CyberSquad, claims Air India harassed her for travelling with pet dog Kiara from Bengaluru to Mumbai. “The ground staff abused me and spoke rudely. Even after boarding the flight, one of them rushed to my seat and told me to close the bag when I was checking if Kiara was fine. The cabin crew announced that I was not co-operating and delaying the flight. They behaved like I was carrying a bomb,” says the Kaisi Yeh Yaariaan actor. An Air India spokesperson informs, “The passenger kept removing the dog from the bag, which violates the rules as it may disturb other passengers.” PETA India president Meet Ashar says, “The ground staff member was rude. We will speak with the passenger and then take action.”

Sail away

Madhu Chopra and Priyanka Chopra Jonas

Priyanka Chopra Jonas’s mother Madhu and pet dog Diana are accompanying her for the shoot of Citadel in Spain. A break from the shoot of the Russo Bros’ web series made the trio go sailing off the coast of Valencia. “A perfect day off,” PeeCee wrote. Nothing like soaking up the sun for a bit of fun.

A story of courage

Kajol

After Renuka Shahane’s Tribhanga, Kajol has given her nod to Revathi’s The Last Hurrah. Inspired by a true incident, the film narrates the story of an exemplary mother who ‘battled the most challenging situations one can ever face with a smile’. South actor-director Revathi, who helmed Mitr, My Friend (2002) and Phir Milenge (2004), could only think of Kajol as the perfect choice to play the protagonist. The film, backed by Suuraj Sinngh and Shraddha Agrawal, is written by Sammeer Arora.

When the Lankans met

Yohani and Jacqueline Fernandez

Jacqueline Fernandez turned fangirl when she met the Manike mage hithe singer Yohani in Juhu. The viral Sinhalese song made the Sri Lankan crooner a social media sensation. Yohani, who was touring the country, was left star-struck upon meeting her compatriot. Fernandez and she posed and giggled for the cameras, and then wondered, “What are we laughing for?”

Colours of happiness

 Esha Deol Takhtani

Navratri was never complete for Esha Deol Takhtani without staging a dance recital with mother Hema Malini and sister Ahana Deol. Due to the pandemic, for the second year, there will be no performances. “The festival is close to my heart,” says Esha, who has collaborated with upcoming designers to create a line inspired by the nine colours of Navratri. “Dressing up can uplift your mood, and you spread happiness when you feel happy,” adds Esha, who is shooting for the digital series, Rudra: The Edge of Darkness, alongside Ajay Devgn.
