The making of a survival drama titled Kaala Paani, starring Mona Singh, and Ashutosh Gowariker, and directed by Sameer Saxena and Amit Golani, was announced yesterday. Kaala Paani will have audiences embark on a journey through the salty seas and ocean breeze of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands. Talking about the grounded story about the fight for survival, Saxena said, “Kaala Paani is a fresh and uncharted genre in Indian storytelling. The series is a survival drama featuring an ensemble of characters trying to escape nature’s wrath, as the vast sea confines them for thousands of kilometres. In this battle between humans and nature, these individuals find that their destinies are intertwined.”

Hrithik Roshan penned a heartfelt note for his “daduji” Roshan, the legendary music director, on his 106th birth anniversary, and celebrated his “immortal legacy”.
Hrithik also revealed that it is his grandfather’s first name that he uses as his surname. Roshan Lal Nagrath was an esraj player and music director. The actor also celebrated his daduji’s immortal legacy by playing one of his favourite songs composed by his paternal grandfather. Sharing a photo of Roshan, Hrithik wrote: “Today marks the 106th birth anniversary of my Daduji — Roshan, whose name I inherit. Although I never had the honour of meeting him, learning from him or physically experiencing his love, I am blessed with a priceless treasure: his work, his music. Legends have a way of transcending time through their art. His songs are the foundation of the Roshan family’s journey.”

Daddy’s wise words

Daddy’s wise words

In a recent interview, Suniel Shetty shared a piece of advice for his daughter Athiya Shetty on the secrets to a successful marriage. “Be someone who believes in your partner blindly. Trust him completely. He is an athlete, he will travel, you will not be able to travel with him all the time. Just like actors, athletes see highs and lows.” He also warned his son-in-law KL Rahul to not be “such a beautiful human being that we seem inferior when it comes to you”. “Don’t be such a good boy that everyone believes that this is what goodness is all about and not you. That’s the kind of a child he is. I always tell Athiya, you are blessed, not necessarily the other way around. Athiya is a beautiful child, but my wife, mother, sisters-in-law, and sister are all obsessed with Rahul.”
