Amitabh Bachchan is enjoying the nip in the air as the city experiences the winter season, which lasts for precisely a handful of days. The current hill station-like weather has made Big B relax on the lawns of his Juhu Scheme home. “Clear blue skies... cool breezes... yeh hai Mumbai meri jaan,” posted the veteran superstar. Social media is abuzz with memes about the dipping mercury with a section of netizens wondering since when did Mumbai start to get “so cold that people have to cover themselves with thick blankets” and “wonder if it is snowing outside”.

They even asked Kapoor if Khatter and Panday are a twosome.

Sairat (2016) director Nagraj Manjule is collaborating with producer Siddharth Roy Kapur for a web series, Matka King. It is inspired by the life of Ratan Khatri, who is considered the founding father of gambling in India. It will capture the culture of Mumbai’s working classes of the ’60s and ’70s, and chart the progress of the nation through their lives and the betting syndicate. “I hope viewers enjoy Matka King as much as we have while creating it,” said Manjule.

The first two days were tough, and then each day got better,” wrote Janhvi. Cousins Rhea, Arjun and Anshula had tested positive a fortnight ago.
Of pillows and quilts
Vir Das is experiencing mild symptoms with “aches and a sore throat” after getting infected. He is self-isolating at home. With time on hand and three pillows and a quilt for company, the actor-comedian posted that he is “seriously considering embroidery”. He joked, “Depending on how long this takes, I may wind up with no quilts and six pillows, or two quilts. I’d choose quilts over pillows. Almost everyone has a pillow they love. Not everyone has a nice quilt.”
Caught in the spread
Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai actor Nehha Pendse joins the growing list of small screen stars hit by the virus. “After dodging it for two years, I caught it. I am quarantining at home. I have not stepped out or met anyone in the past few days. Being introverted can be helpful sometimes”, wrote Pendse. As she was on a New Year break, Pendse was not shooting for the comedy.
