Amitabh Bachchan’s grandson and Abhishek Bachchan’s nephew Agastya Nanda is not the only actor to make his big-screen debut with Sriram Raghavan’s Ikkis. Rumours are rife that Akshay Kumar’s niece Simar Bhatia is foraying into the movies with the biopic on Param Vir Chakra awardee, Arun Khetarpal. Contrary to the popular notion that her superstar mama could have easily facilitated a tailor-made launch-pad, Simar reportedly bagged her maiden movie strictly on merit. She has apparently shot her portions for the film that also showcases the protagonist’s relationship with his father, Brigadier ML Khetarpal, essayed by Dharmendra. The makers are planning to release Ikkis on February 10 next year.

Kat concluded, saying, “Now, I think it’s about finding a balance, what story do I feel is going to connect with the audience? And what do I connect to personally and as an actor right now? What’s going to give me growth? What’s going to give me satisfaction? This is just exactly what I want to be doing right now.”

Gurucharan Singh, best known for playing Sodhi in the sitcom, Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltaah Chashmah, has reportedly gone missing. Actor-producer and chairperson of the Indian Film and Television Producers Council (TV and Web) JD Majithia shared that he got the news from a common family friend, Bhakti Soni. “She called to say that there was no sign of Gurucharan after he failed to arrive in Mumbai from Delhi on April 22. Rumour has it that all is not well between Shruti Haasan and beau Santanu Hazarika. The actor and the doodle artiste-illustrator, who were living-in together for the past three years, are said to have broken up. They have been living apart for about a month now. That Shruti and Santanu have also unfollowed each other on social media seems to further indicate their split. Moreover, the Salaar actor has removed their pictures together from her account, and even taken a break from social media. Announcing her return online, she wrote, “It’s been a crazy ride, learning so much about myself and about people.” Incidentally, in January this year, the duo dismissed rumours of a secret wedding, maintaining that they would never hide the news. On the work front, Shruti has Salaar Part 2 with Prabhas and Toxic with Yash.
