In August 2021, Farhan Akhtar caught everyone’s attention when he announced his next directorial venture Jee Le Zaraa, starring Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Katrina Kaif and Alia Bhatt. Since then, the all-women road trip film, which was to roll in September 2021, has been pushed twice over, with many suggesting that it has been put on hold indefinitely. But one hears that the project is back on track now.

Akhtar is apparently planning to kick off the film in Rajasthan after 2023 summer. A source says, “At one point, the movie was to roll in March 2022, but the actresses had a busy year. Priyanka had committed her dates to Citadel, which she wrapped up in June. By then, Alia got busy with Darlings, Brahmastra: Part One — Shiva and the shoot of Heart of Stone. Katrina too had to focus on Merry Christmas. Now, their schedules have been tentatively matched by the production team. The film will kick off in Rajasthan after summer next year and will be shot across multiple locations in the country.” The source adds that an elaborate schedule in Mumbai is also on the itinerary.
