In our brand new series Celebrity Pet Parents, we take you into the homes of your favourite celebrities and give you a sneak peek into their lives with their furry companions.

Having made his mark with his serious roles in series like Paatal Lok, Mirzapur 2, Ajeeb Dastaans and many more, Abhishek Banerjee is quite a softie at heart. He is a cat person and in our first episode, he tells us all about his life with Kiwi the cat.

Abhishek Banerjee and wife Tina found their adorable cat Kiwi, at Palolem beach in Goa 8 years ago and today she has become the love of their life. Mid-day.com caught up with Abhishek and Kiwi at their Juhu apartment for a tete-a tete about the celebrity pet.

Spilling the beans on how they decided to adopt her Abhishek says, “We were at a shack and Kiwi at that time was a tiny kitten. She came and started asking for food and we were in awe of how she was communicating so well. She was very ferocious, she was not requesting, she was demanding food. We stayed in that shack for four days and Tina had her eyes on Kiwi.”

Abhishek also shared how Kiwi hates bath time and how she ensures she stays among nature despite being a house cat.
